Community colleges are awesome to get your associates degree, and are very inexpensive for units. My local community college also known as an undergraduate college school only charges $20.00 a unit.
One class is usually 3 units, and the cost of books which range from $30-$130 dollars new. You can purchase used books on amazon for half the price or more sometimes.
Associate Degree programs will take about 2 years online, and are at your fingertips and are available worldwide. And you can choose a variety of major courses of study. There are always good reasons to consider getting your associate degree online.
