Does education guarantee a good job?

I would have to say that in a lot of cases it will surely help. One thing to keep in mind is that you don't want to be pigeon held. In other words, an employer could pay you less than a co-worker of yours if the other co-worker has a degree in some sort of field. If you possessed a degree, than the employer couldn't use that as an excuse to why you are making less than some of your co-workers.

But I know a few people that have no degree and make good money...

Probably because they have a lot of experience in the field they are working in. Or have some connections in a certain field and have been doing it for a while with out a degree.

Experience can really help a person out when it comes to a resume. If someone has a lot of experience in a field that match's the job description, than it would be easier for that person to get that job with out a degree.

But imagine if you added a degree to the resume, along with all the experience one would have, they could definitely request a certain amount of income because of the established experience, and a college degree to back up there schooling for more leverage on getting the pay you deserve.

So adding a degree from college to experience, is a powerful leverage over other candidates applying for the same job with out a degree.

Education is an excellent key to a good job!

This can be challenging because if you want to enjoy your job you need to find something you like, and get a degree on it. The best thing to do is to start going to a community college after you obtain your high school diploma or GED.

Once you start at a community college, you can start taking all of the general education classes first. While your taking these GE classes you can start thinking about what you want to major in.

Once you figure out what you want to major in, you can find out what kind of certificate programs they have, at the community college that are related to what you want to major in.

Then you can work on your 2 year associates degree in science(AS), or a 2 year degree in arts(AA). A 2 year degree in arts(AA) is a more broad range degree, since it is not geared towards a certain or technical type of field.

An associates degree in science(AS) is geared towards a distinguished field like computers, math or something technical.

Education can always help you!

From online classes to your local community college, or technical skills school, there is plenty of different types of education to choose from depending on the job your seeking for.
